Stephen Akina, composer and orchestrator, enjoys collaborating and producing original music. A trained classical pianist and music educator, Stephen has performed internationally and taught studio music both privately and as an adjunct faculty member of San Diego State University.
Following the premiere of his work "Seven", commissioned by the Pasadena Pops Orchestra in 2006, Stephen began scoring for films. Eventually he began composing music for television production.
Today, his music scores have been featured in dozens of independent films and heard on all the major network and cable channels and several video games. In addition to his music for film and television, his symphonic compositions, arrangements and adaptations have been performed live by major orchestras worldwide.
